Here... the viewer sees that the "Blessed Virgin Marie" is forever pregnant, and her golden halo is broken. Some say that ET's did the vagina deed with seeds from a needle. But... "Golstein" knows that the Virgin Marie was red hot to trot with a well known Lothario, a very prominent Roman soldier, the real father of Jesus Christ. And who was Joseph? Well, he was a whimpish fellow who played his role for the sake of propriety; he was just a cover story to hide the truth about the Virgin's pregnancy. Yes... and twenty centuries later, things haven't changed. Baboonies still living in deny-all. Indeed! See how they wage wars to defend it! the old knights of Templar, of course, knew the truth. They knew about "Old Rome Sins"... and other rather "explosive" things. Their knowledge would be the reason for the Church (and its supporters) to send the Knights into hiding/exile. A pair of screech owls regularly nest in a giant avocado tree.. that grows on artist's Florida seaside residence. During the day... the male owl sits hidden in the branches of another nearby fruit tree where the starving artist often works in the shade below. Coyotes, owls, and other 'special animals" have always lingered around artist, which explains why he knows more about events happening in the world than the President of United States. This exceptionally fine piece shows the future of human kind. Once again, the viewer is exposed to complex criticism of establishment --- policies and beliefs... If the planet earth is burned to a cinder, it certainly will prove the righteousness of tribal egos that are constantly promoted by our belief system, religious or political. This rare and finely engineered piece depicts little yellow painted "coward men" with big screws rammed up to their rear ends. The "coward men" can be seen jumping through ceramic coated metal hoops that are suspended from a giant gold plated dick... shooting a forked tongue from the tip. Well, the dick is the portrait of... say, Father God... which explains why Jesus folks celebrate the kingdom of heaven, in lieu of democracy of heaven. Click on the image for enlarged view. |

A few years ago, during the starving artist's transition from Los Angeles to exile (living in Kana, Charleston, Baltimore, Chicago, Baniff, Key West, "Cowtown", etc.), he wrote a sad and hilarious adventure novel called "Cartoon Country Roads". The book stars a tragic, four hundred pound, loser boozer hero named Farley Jester. Fat Farley was a toothless, tattooed biker pushing past his fifty earth years of age... and living in a flop house in downtown Los Angeles. The novel's fat ass hero was not the brightest bulb on stage; he had little education and less sophistication. Nonetheless... Farley knew his days were numbered. The cops were looking for him... and his future (not that he ever had one) was long since dead. Having nothing to lose, Farley Jester soon found himself running across the country with a nineteen year old prostitute/drug addict. he was looking for "Cowtown U.S.A.". Farley had heard that "Cowtown! " was the last nugget of the American dream. He would find it! "American Gothic" represents a couple of farm folk characters (Maw & Paw) who live on the outskirts of "Cowtown U.S.A.". Maw & Paw from the farm were borrowed from Grant Wood's painting, and everything they do ends in hilarious tragedy. Yes... tragedy can be hilarious when you step outside of yourself, and see the cosmos for what it really is. R.R.R. knows it's a great play... with gods in the audience. The American dream in "Cartoon Country Roads" is really a bizarre nightmare that ends in extreme violence. Nonetheless... the story of Fat Farley Jester ends with a sliver of hope dawning on a new horizon. Sometimes you got to burn down the village in order to save it. And that is our fate! He was also a prophet plotting rebellion and revolution against a distant, colonist power occupying his homeland. Yes... the artist knows the real story about Jesus... not the foul propaganda of an insecure patriarchy presently defying the name of the prophet for the sake of profit!
