Note: Featured in this show was "Mangiare Alla Italiana" acquired for the museum's permanent collection in January by Mr. Bolton Colbum, curator of the Laguna Art Museum.

Two other piece, "Little Princes", and "Converse Allstars", were acquired in 1993 for permanent collection of the Contemporary Museum in Honolulu by Mr. Jay Jensen, curator and director of Exhibitions for the Contemporary Museum.

Note: This was probably one of Richard Roehl's finest shows. It included 30+ pieces from 1988/89 vintage with three larger installations. During this time S.I.T.E. was located in the old "Helms Bakery Building" in culver city (L.A.), California.

This large and very complex exhibition was organized by Marie de Alquez, curator of the Fisher Gallery at the University of Southern California.
Note: One of Roehl's pieces ("Our House" Series "F") exhibited in the aformentioned show was pictured in Artweek Magazine on March 17, 1984. The artist also won First Prize for "most creative costume" at the opening. :-)

Note: This show was the primary reason that Roehl was offered a full-time, tenure-tracked teaching position at University of Texas right after he graduates from the University of Colorado graduate school.

Note: Actually the artist was not officially in this large regional juried exhibition: his work had been rejected by the juror. However... an original entry, "The Brutality of Balance" (also called "American Eagle") was purchased for the museum collection by Harry C. Taylor, Curator of Exhibitions and then exhibited seperately. "The Brutality of Balance" is one of Roehl's finest and most elegant Pre-Series 'A' sculptures.
 Museum of New Mexico, "Installation by Invitation", Santa Fe, New Mexico, 12/73.
Note: The artist was invited to do an installation/exhibit at the Museum by Donald O. Strel, Curator of Exhibitions who later acquired a Pre-Series 'A' sculpture entitled "Jazzman" for the museum collection. It has been reported that the "Jazzman", built of polished oaks and chrome plated metals, was badly damaged due to careless or improper storage.

Note: The artist was awarded the "Phoenix Art Museum Award" (First Prize) for a terrifying Pre-Series 'A' sculpture entry entitled "The Killer Flower". A full color reproduction of "The Killer Flower" was published on the front page of the 4/28/73 issue of the Phoenix Gazette's Sunday Magazine.
